In 2010 the Firmani Family and the Gardeners Spot in Leominster, Ma. Donated a few Christmas trees to some local vets and military families that had loved ones deployed. This event was an eye opener for us, shining a light on a problem faced by many during the holiday season. We heard stories of military families on tight budgets so thankful that they didn’t have to worry where the money for a tree was going to come from, seeing veterans and the wounded warriors come down pick a tree and see their faces when they were told “no charge”… it was heartwarming. We have continued to do “Trees for Soldiers” each year since and it has grown exponentially ever year.
